Raised to be honest and accommodating, I find myself contemplating selling up and moving on, my years in Monrovia a regrettable period of naïveté to be forgotten posthaste. I didn't have an opinion about government until I lived in Monrovia. I didn't really know I was governed. These people draw one's attention. I had never looked up government employee compensation, either. My Lord. Monrovians, we must unite and cleanse the city of these snakes. They're in it to enrich themselves and their friends through real estate transactions and developments and they don't give a damn about any of us.
